About the Advanced Placement Physics Exams

There are four Advanced Placement Physics Exams:
  • Advanced Placement Physics 1 Exam.
  • Advanced Placement Physics 2 Exam.
  • Advanced Placement Physics C: Mechanics.
  • Advanced Placement Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism.
The American College Board administers the Advanced Placement (AP) examinations. There are no international or domestic versions of the AP Physics Exams; the same version is given to students no matter which country they are in. There are no course requirements for the AP Physics exams. All Advanced Placement examinations are given once a year in May. A high AP Physics exam score can be accepted for introductory course credits at universities.
